It isn’t that I’m trying to push myself. I’m not, not yet anyway. But while running this morning I discovered that I can’t really tell the difference between running at 4 miles per hour and running at 4.5 miles per hour.
I’m sure there is a difference. The main one being that you are running faster, but my legs pumping along the treadmill don’t seem to feel any more or less stressed by the additional effort. It was nice to finish the mile under 17 minutes though. I’m not sure I could do that for a 2 mile run.
While I was running today, I tried to think of what sort of image I’d like to put at the top of this post, of each 500 miles post. The new format of the site, which I quite like, means I need a 600 x 400 image for the featured picture that will show above the entry. Perhaps I snap a shot of the treadmills at the gym, but I need to make sure no one is on them first. Most people, myself included, probably don’t want some random person snapping a photo of them while they are sweaty and running on a treadmill.
Anyway, I only did one mile today because I’d taken most of the last week off.
